Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky

This project was a labor of love between a good friend of mine, Sara Magers, and myself. We took the time to rebrand/establish brand guidelines for a local nonprofit organization with the idea of elevating its image so it could acquire more funds. The largest factor in developing this visual language was that they were moving buildings, which means they no longer have their “wayfinding” – a massive sunflower mural on the side of the building.

They won’t have that landmark to make it easy to find but everyone associates that image with them, so to retain that brand equity and warm imagery we incorporated that into our design language.

As a collaberative solution – Sara’s and my hands molded everything in this as a unit and if not each other’s feedback helped shape those outliers. Those two things that we worked on as individuals were her with the advertisements for the drives and myself with the Instagram ads.
